Established in 1979, Packard General Agency is a distributor of products for all major individual and employer benefit insurance companies. In addition to distribution, Packard General Agency develops marketing programs to assist agents in finding new clients and providing them with continuing support services.

     I began my insurance career in 1979 providing life insurance and investments. In 1981 began offering employee benefits/health insurance. In 1990 we started our wholesale operation, capitalizing on product knowledge, legislation knowledge and sales experience. Also have held positions of regional and group sales directors of insurance companies. The combined retail sales and home office experience have proven to be a true value in providing the highest levels of service and help to our customer, the agent, and their clients. We continually look forward to EARNING your business.

Don Defrancesco

     Don graduated from Kent State University with a bachelors degree in Business Administration with a specialty in marketing. He started in the insurance industry as an independent agent in 1992 joining our agency in 1997 as our sales manager. He continues to be a great source for agents with his field experience, insurance knowledge, expertise, and assistance on sales calls.

Agent Services Assistant


     Abby has been with the Packard Agency since early 2006 and is here to assist you with any customer service and claims issues. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a BA in Communications. Abby’s strong communication skills and customer service background have made her a major asset of the Packard Agency.
